Soothe the Symptoms of Dermatitis
Dermatitis In Dogs & Cats
Skin problems in dogs and cats can be an irritating, ongoing issue. When pets develop skin issues, they tend to start itching and excessively scratching or rubbing on carpet. This can lead to hair loss, irritation, inflammation, and dry skin on dogs and cats.
When the skin is excessively scratched, it can lead to hot spots on dogs and cats. These raw, inflamed areas can become infected. If your dog or cat develops signs of dermatitis, you should take him to the veterinarian to rule out any underlying issues. To soothe the irritation, your veterinarian may recommend using an anti-itch shampoo that will help moisturize the skin and coat. In severe cases of infection, your veterinarian may give antibiotics.
Miconazole Nitrate & Chlorhexidine Gluconate
For years, veterinarians have recommended Miconazole Nitrate and Chlorhexidine Gluconate for cat and dog skin issues. These two ingredients work together to combat infection, but yet they are gentle on the skin. Miconazole Nitrate is an antifungal agent with activity against gram-positive bacteria and fungi, including Malassezia. Chlorhexidine Gluconate is an antiseptic that works against a wide range of microorganisms, including gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
MicoChlor Plus: Soothes Skin Affected by Bacterial or Yeast Infection in Dogs & Cats
Thomas Labs® developed three products to help ease the symptoms of dermatitis in dogs and cats. They are effective against skin conditions that respond to Miconazole Nitrate and Chlorhexidine Gluconate. They moisturize, soothe, condition, and clean the skin and coat. The MicoChlor Plus Shampoo, Flush, and Spray were formulated to soothe skin affected by bacterial or yeast infection in dogs and cats. All three products contain essential fatty acids and vitamin E to help maintain optimal skin health through skin barrier support and hydration. They are ideal for dogs and cats with dermatitis caused by yeast, bacteria, or fungi.
